Please welcome The Fields Project to the stage with their unique blend of unfeigned songwriting, well honed musicianship and a hint of a capella, leaving audiences mesmerised and beaming.
Troy, Jason and Dominique came together in early 2017, inspired by their mutual love of singing, and have since been captivating audiences with their three part harmonies.
As a duo Troy and Jason have been playing together on and off for close to 20 years, touring the country in Central Coast band Field Day, releasing a number of EPs and supporting some of Australia’s top bands. Music has always been in their blood and when these boys sing together it’s something special.
Individually they have been well known faces on the local gig circuit for many years too.
Troy is a vocal coach and gifted multi-instrumentalist who has appeared in a number of well know acts over the years, including touring with Sarah Humphreys and most recently playing with legendary Nashville artist Kim Richey at the 2015 National Folk Festival.
Jason was winner of the ABC 1233 Newcastle Music Awards Male Vocalist of the year in 2009 and has sold over 7000 copies of his EPs and albums, cementing himself in the music scene as lead singer of Jaywalker from 2008 to 2012. He also completed solo East Coast tours supporting both Xavier Rudd and Billy Thorpe.
Dominique, a fellow Central Coast singer-songwriter, brings an element of sass and soul to the mix with her deep, expressive vocals. A former student of Gina Jeffreys, Dominique received the Gina Jeffreys scholarship award in 2010, released her first solo EP in 2015 and was a finalist in the Bluesfest Busking Comp in 2017.
