NBN cameras filmed the iconic clocks of Newcastle in preparation for the implementation of Eastern Daylight Saving Time (AEDT).

For most people, the idea was favoured by a ratio of 2:1.

The idea of moving an hour of day light from the morning to the evening was thought to be beneficial overall.

An extra hour of daylight at the end of the working day meant more time for outdoor activities, shopping and recreation.

Fast forward to 1992 and was it still as popular 20 years later
