Hope Estate

Hope Estate is perfectly located in the heart of Pokolbin, less than an hour from the centre of Newcastle. It is the ultimate location for estate produced wine, award-winning beer, small batch spirits, events and is home to Australia’s largest purpose-built winery amphitheatre which hosts an array of legendary international performers each concert season.

We're dedicated to making sensational estate-grown wines and following this philosophy, Hope Brewery opened early 2015. Guests can view the brewing process while enjoying a tasting paddle from the 12 varieties on-tap and pizza in the Brewhouse Café.  October 2020 saw the unveiling of the Cellar Door renovations coupled with the launch of Hope Distillery offering a range of Gin, Vodka and a Moonshine.

Our Cellar Door is open 7 days, visitors can enjoy a personalised tasting experience with our friendly and knowledgeable staff or drop by to choose from the huge range of canned beer varieties to take home.

The Estate has a number of function spaces that can cater for an intimate gathering to an extravaganza for a large crowd.  The famous Great Cask Hall is one of the most impressive Barrel Rooms in the country, it’s also featured on the Television series “Farmer wants a Wife”.

Along with the sensational concerts our amphitheatre is host to a growing number of lifestyle events including the Hunter Valley Cheese & Chocolate Festival and Hunter Valley Beer & BBQ Festival.
